Steven K. Staires, M.D.

Dr. Staires graduated from LSU Medical School in New Orleans. After two years of residency in General Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, he completed his training in Anesthesiology at LSU/Charity in New Orleans. He also completed a one-year fellowship in pain management at West Virginia University, Morgantown. He is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Pain Management and is a member in good standing of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Academy of Pain Medicine, International Spinal Injection Society and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. He has practiced continuously in Lafayette since 1986. Dr. Staires is one of Lafayette Surgical Specialty Hospital's Physician Owners.
