LSSH Wins 2014 Specialty Hospital of the Year Award – Wednesday, February 26, 2014
BATON ROUGE, LA – Lafayette Surgical Specialty Hospital was named 2014 Specialty Hospital of the Year by the Louisiana Nurses Foundation at the 13th Annual Nightingale Gala held February 22, 2014.
LSSH is a fifth-time winner of this award, previously receiving it in 2007, 2008, 2009, & 2010. The hospital was selected for its quality nursing staff who delivers excellence in patient care. This care ultimately produces patient outcomes that far

Inducted into the Louisiana Nurses Foundation Hall of Fame were: Ann Carruth, Tangipahoa District; Denise Danna, New Orleans District; and Cynthia Prestholdt, Baton Rouge District.
There were 40 registered nurses nominated in individual award categories; with two schools of Nursing and nine hospitals and healthcare facilities from Louisiana completing the list of nominees. A select panel of out-of-state registered nursing and healthcare leaders served as the panel of judges for the award selections.
